Serving and Exploring in Edmonton

The Reverend Nathan Chan serves as Curate at Christ the King in Edmonton.  He and his wife Christine have 3 girls.  His Rector, Stephen Lieberman, involves him in all aspects of parish life.

Recently the parish moved into their new building, and it is working out well.

Nathan attended seminary in Dallas, and served in several pastorates.  He also worked in financial services in Ottawa.  He was attracted to work in our Diocese because of our commitments to Scripture and Church Planting.  He would like to explore door knocking in surrounding neighbourhoods.  He works co-operatively with other pastors in the area on summer sports activities for youth, and faith in the marketplace conversations.

Located in the East part of the city, parish conversations are considering a daughter plant situation in the West end where Nathan and his family live.  Some of Nathan's learnings in ministry are patience, providence, and waiting for God's timing. "God goes ahead".  Small groups might be the way to start.
