The Reverend Jeremy Graham leads the two year church plant in East Vancouver called King's Cross.  It is based on a "mother daughter" model which is supported by St. John's Vancouver.

Jeremy is very appreciative of this model as it provides: administrative support, financial support on a sliding scale, a launch team, and time to prepare prior to launching Sunday services.

Their launch team was comprised of 16 adults and 24 children.  St. John's freely committed any members that wanted to participate.

Jeremy strongly commends the book Word and Sacrament.  It is written by Dan Alger, leader of our Provincial church planting initiative known as Always Forward. Available here:  https://www.google.ca/books/edition/Word_and_Sacrament/8aimEAAAQBAJ?hl=en&gbpv=1&pg=PT9&printsec=frontcover

A major hurdle was finding a venue.  120 venues were explored, only 3 proved suitable, and only one could provide Sunday morning worship.  They secured a modern bright community hall in their desired target area.  They were able to negotiate storage, which saves burning out the set-up teams.

After two years they have a strong congregation of  approximately 66 adults and about 30 kids.  Much has been accomplished by this amazing team, and by the host church St. John's.  St. John's has also launched St. John's Richmond, and assisted with Fireside Vancouver, and supports the new church plant in Winnipeg.
