Packer College, the Diocesan Theological School of the Anglican Network in Canada, was Inaugurated  by Bishop Charlie Masters at a moving ceremony in the context of the Consecration of the new Good Samaritan Church in St. John's Newfoundland.  Packer College will be housed on the second floor of this newly renovated building located next to the main hospital in the Downtown area.
About seventeen part-time students are enrolled for classes which will begin immediately.
Acting Dean Dr. Gary Graber will teach Church History and Anglican Studies. Dr. David Smith teaches Systematic Theology and New Testament Greek.  In addition there are presently 6 Adjunct professors.
To fulfill its mission, the Anglican Network seeks to develop teams and parishes in communities across the nation.  It is hoped that Packer College will become a key resource in this mission.  Because it is outside the key metropolitan areas, quality education can be delivered at lower cost with less debt for the students.  Hopefully they will be more mobile, and free to take positions as and where needed.
