Archdeacon Brian Candow was a visitor who was interviewed on a recent Explorers Nation Wide Zoom.  There is emerging interest in many parts of the province, but not at the stage where new projects or services are planned.  Would a travelling Missioner be more suitable for these areas in the meantime?  (Bishop Dan has used the Missioner model previously in Prince George and Pender Island B.C..)

Corner Brook, Twillingate, and Pike's Arm are all places of interest.  A lay leader with a large family keeping daily offices, with plans to move back to NL, are just one sign of hope.  There is also a new student at Packer College from these areas.

Brian reviewed for us the parishes throughout the Atlantic Region he cares for.  In PEI , Redemption Church in Charlottetown, has received a new curate, the Rev. Vaclav Vasil.  After finishing theological studies at Packer College he has taken up the post of curate to learn from this new church plant.

The clergy and people of NL are very excited to be hosting the next Synod the week of October 19-23, 2026.
